【CMHnews Chongqing Post】In late March 2025, a Chinese content creator known as “Uncle Goose” (Lu’e Ge, literally “The Braised Goose Guy”) set off on an unusual mission.

Wearing his signature colorful floral jacket, he spent 8 days traveling across 5 cities in China, following American streamer Speed and repeatedly offering him a taste of his hometown specialty: braised goose from Rongchang, Chongqing.

His method was wonderfully simple. He would lift an entire cooked goose high above his head with both hands and enthusiastically invite Speed—and anyone nearby—to take a bite.

The videos quickly went viral both in China and overseas, with some reaching over 100 million views. Rongchang’s local government later named the Uncle Goose, Jiang Lin, the official ambassador of Rongchang braised goose and rewarded him for helping introduce his hometown to the world.

The funny thing is, Uncle Goose doesn’t even own a braised goose business. After three years of a digital creator life, he decided to spend his own money traveling across the country for one reason only: to use the power of the internet to put his hometown on the map.

In a world full of carefully planned marketing campaigns, Uncle Goose won hearts with something much simpler—persistence, sincerity, and a little bit of lovable awkwardness. ❤️ And yes, he and Speed became friends along the way.
